Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on 16 March, 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and well-known comedians. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea, is an Irish actress writer and comedian. Following appearances in bits on a number of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea began her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2012, she began performing in sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms and similar programs. In 2012, after winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for different panel shows, where she is now a regular. In 2016 and 2017, she was a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats team as well as a participant on the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. The parents of her include Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. In 2012 she won the So You think You're Funny Award for the second time. Her surname is Bea to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on April 16, 1984, in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was a veterinarian who worked with horses who died by suicide at three-years-old. However, she did not learn the cause of her death until 13 years later. As a way to honor the man she loved, Bea took the stage-name Bea and, in the year 2017, she wrote an article on suicides in her family members for The Guardian. Bea (and her sister Sinead) was raised within the home of Helen Moloney, a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was also a professional jockey. Their parents were both obsessed with racing and horses. When she was a child, Bea employed as a tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early age that she was not attracted to the race industry as a job, and was a performer.
